Room Reservations

  1. How do I check if my reservation has been confirmed?
    Upon confirmation, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Sometimes the email may end up in the spam/junk folder, so please be sure to check. You can contact us directly should there be any issues.
  2. How do I cancel or make changes to my reservation?
    You may cancel through the website if you’ve booked via our website. If you’ve made a reservation via an agent, you can make any changes to your reservation via your agent. However, do note that cancellations made within 72 hours of the arrival date will incur a one-night charge. No charges will be incurred for cancellations made 3 days prior to the arrival date. Payments made prior to your arrival are not refundable but a one-time rescheduling is allowed, subject to availability.
  3. What is the stipulated time for Check-In and Check-Out? Can I Check-In earlier/ Check-Out later?
    The Check-In time is from 3pm onwards, and Check-Out time is by 12pm. Early Check-In is subject to availability. There will be an additional fee charged for late Check-Outs.
  4. Can I make a reservation on behalf of another person?
    You can make a reservation on behalf of another person as long as you provide the necessary documents and details for the other party.
  5. Can I Check-In if the booking is under someone else’s name?
    Yes, you can. However, we may need to verify some personal details.
  6. How do I make a group reservation?
    For groups of up to 15 guests, you can make a reservation online via our website. For groups of 16 guests and more, please contact us directly and we will assign a dedicated agent to assist you with the booking.
  7. If I am making a group reservation, do I need to provide personal details for all guests?
    Yes, personal details must be provided for all guests. During the Check-In process, only 1 representative needs to be present. However, all identification details and documents for all guests must be presented.
  8. Can I change my room type when Checking-In?
    Yes, guests are allowed to change their room type when Checking-In. However, it is subject to room availability.
  9. Can under-18 guests stay without a parent/guardian?
    No, guests below 18 years of age are not allowed to stay without a parent or a guardian in any of the rooms.

Facilities and Amenities

  1. What are the operating hours for reception?
    The reception is open from 7.00AM to 11.00PM daily.
  2. Do the rooms have en-suite bathrooms?
    Only the studio rooms have en-suite bathrooms.
  3. Is there room service in Toojou?
    There is no room service. However there is a restaurant at the lobby that serves local cuisine.
  4. Is there a daily housekeeping service?
    Our housekeeping service is upon request only.
  5. Can I request for additional beds/mattresses?
    No, additional beds/mattresses are not available.
  6. Is Toojou handicap friendly?
    While there are a few areas that have handicap facilities, there are areas in the building that are not handicap friendly. Please contact us for more information.
  7. Is Toojou children friendly?
    We do allow children in the premise. However, please take note that we are not 100% family friendly as there is a rooftop bar that serves alcohol.
  8. Is there an F&B outlet in Toojou?
    Toojou is home to a restaurant that serves local fusion cuisine (muslim-friendly and serves no pork) and a rooftop bar that serves alcoholic beverages and light snacks.
  9. Does Toojou provide free internet access?
    High speed internet is provided throughout the premise and is free for all paying guests of the hostel, restaurant, social space, and the rooftop bar.
  10. Are there any parking facilities and what are the charges?
    There are no parking facilities for guests but there are many public parking spaces in the vicinity. The charges are according to the city ordinance.
  11. Is there a luggage storage/ can I store my luggage before Check-In and after Check-Out?
    Due to the limited space, we can only offer 24 hours of free storage for guests. For returnee check-in guests, we are able to only store for a maximum duration of 2 weeks.

  1. How do I get to Toojou?
    You can take a taxi from the airport, or book a ride via a local ridesharing app like GRAB.
  2. Does Toojou offer taxi booking services?
    No, Toojou does not offer taxi booking services. However, guests can use local ridesharing apps like GRAB to travel to Toojou or their destinations within the city.

Miscellaneous & House Rules

  1. Is Toojou pet friendly?
    Pets and animals are not allowed in Toojou premises due to allergy concerns.
  2. Is smoking allowed in the hotel rooms?
    No, smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms. However, there are designated areas for smoking.
  3. Are non-hotel guests allowed in the hotel/room?
    No, Toojou rooms are strictly for registered guests only.
  4. What payment methods are accepted at Toojou?
    We accept all debit cards, credit cards and cash.
  5. What currency is accepted at Toojou?
    We currently only accept local Ringgit Malaysia (MYR).
  6. What kind of adapter do I need for charging?
    Universal adapters with 220V/240V will work with our sockets. However, adapters used are at your own risk; we are not responsible for any damage to any of your devices.
